Hyde Bark is a small, local family-owned pet care business. We and all of our employees also live on the south side. We are proud to live in and serve our community! We provide jobs for about 25 of our neighbors. Many of our employees tend to be affiliated with the University, recently graduated students, grad students, teachers, and other Univeristy alumni are common Hyde Bark staff! Most of our employees stay on for years.
Experienced
Established in 2015, we have years of experience as a professional business in the City of Chicago. We are fully licensed, insured and bonded. Owner Leanna has been caring for pets professionally since 2005, and continues to care for pets daily to this day! This has enabled Hyde Bark to develop strong protocols and high standards of care that we then impart to our employees. Everything we have learned, we have learned organically!

In addition to carrying a robust insurance and bonding policy so that both your pet and your property are covered while under our care, we are licensed with The City of Chicago and The Department of Agriculture as being a certified pet care company. We have a zero tolerance policy for any dishonest action and as of 2026 have yet to have to utilize our insurance and bonding policy.

With our easy-to-use app or website, you can schedule us when you need us, communicate with us anytime, and set up auto payments. If we say we will be there, we will be there! We will never cancel on you last minute and we guarantee we will always, without fail, be there for your scheduled service! We know your pets are counting on us and their emotional and physical well-being is by far our highest priority.
